2018 - Hello Mark
In fall 2018 I received a Facebook friend request from a Pastor in Uganda. My immediate reaction was this was just very unusual . But something kept me from just deleting it and moving on immediately. I have always prayed for God to use me and in the back of my mind I felt like maybe this could be God's direction.
2021- The Pandemic.
After the Covid pandemic had locked everything down, many people in Lira, Uganda were starving. So started our first effort to get other people involved with us supporting Pastor Musa and Family Voice Church. We were able to feed 50 families every month and was a milestone in the relationship with Pastor Musa.
2022- Rescue Raise and Empower
After the Covid pandemic a new vison was given to Pastor Musa to find kids living in the most dire of circumstances and place them in private Christian schools, give them school supplies, uniforms and provide medical assessment and attention if needed.
2023- The Mission Trip
In January of 2023 Sherri and I travelled to Lira, Uganda and met Pastor Musa. We toured schools in the area, met some locals and assessed the future site of what will become Family Voice Academy.
2023- The School Plan
Summer 2023 after being back in the United States we focused on acquiring the land we would need to build a school. Enough money was raised to purchase 3 different plots of land that we combined into a 1/2 acre piece of land. An engineer designer was hired and produced the artists rendering you see here.
